Something Americans favoring unification of the US and Canada do not seem to think about is Canada has ten provinces and three territories. "States" if you will. Canadians may well favor joining the US, but can the US survive 26 new Liberal Senators and who knows how many new Liberal "Representatives? I do not think Canadians would, or should, accept being treated as a single US state.
