Our 7 year old lab has a tumor on his back leg. The vet said it was a solid mass. Should I treat him with fenben and if so, how much? Our kids have taken over every dog we ever had. This is the first dog that has bonded with just my husband since the kids grew up. It will crush him if anything were to happen to him. Thanks for any help you can give.

1ml liquid fenbendazole/4 pounds of body weight. Safeguard for goats is available at farm stores. Will get you through the first couple days. Order a 1qt bottle on line—about $100. Has a chalky taste, but mix in with wet food—your dog will lick the bowl. Buy a large syringe (~15 ml) at the same time.
Then do research. I’ve given this much fenbendazole to a dog every day for several months
I’m not a vet, just a pet owner.
