Gee, you coddled the little angel and look what happened. NOW you're worried she may have ruined her future? Me thinks you missed a lot of signs along the way. There were plenty of places to turn off the road she was travelling and maybe a bit more attention on your part would have caught it when you had the most influence. Instead, you let her liberal professors and pals influence her. Now she'll learn all about other things like the justice department, high priced lawyers, jail cells, prison uniforms, and that sneaky little line on employment applications asking if you've ever been arrested? Her education just took a nasty little detour. And yours too. Did her name get mentioned on your local news? Are your friends asking about her? Are you worried for her or for you?
Maybe you loan her bail money but you expect her to wake up to the damage she has caused to her name and future opportunities. She could start by going to the Tesla dealership and speak to the manager about how sorry she is.. Offer to work off the damage she caused. That would show contriteness to the judge. If she sweeps the floors, cleans the bathrooms, empties the trash, etc. for a few weeks, the manager might be willing to appear as a witness on her behalf at a hearing. But that assumes she is sorry, is willing to make amends, does understand the seriousness of her actions and breaks ties with the people who pulled her into behaving criminally.
