I know a lot of people are disappointed by the numbers, but we do have to remember that self-deportations are not being included in these numbers. For every one person the US deports, there are likely 3-4 more people who will leave with them (I.e their spouse and kids).
For example, that Mahmoud guy from Columbia University- his pregnant wife will either need to stay in the US and raise her baby alone or follow him back to Syria. I think she was American born, but her parents likely weren’t. Now imagine they decide to follow them to Syria too since it’s the only way they’ll be able to see their grandchild and daughter.
Boom. Reverse chain migration in action. Plus add in removal of all of the benefits given to illegals and a crack down on employing them and many will decide to return home.
