Rev 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. Rev 17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
Seven Kings---1-Egypt 2- Assyria 3- Babylon 4-Medo-Persia 5- Greece 6-Rome 7-Rome in the final years.
The last King (Rome 2) must continue for a short time. The 8th King--(beast that was AND IS NOT---even he is the eighth
Egypt is still around, Babylon-Iraq is still around---Medo-Persia IRAN is still around, Rome is still around-----Who is the eighth?
I've heard a few good arguments that it is England.
Of the seven kings, only "one is not" and he is the eighth. The beast will come out of the Assyrian empire area. Probably a Jew since the Jews will accept him as the Messiah!
Very Interesting perspective …. amazing how history interconnects on so many levels, timelines and events like a documented eclipse.
Jonah is taken to Assyria in the belly of a fish. He was in there 3 days and 3 nights. Dead as a door nail and the fish vomits him up on the beach and many of the people of Nineveh saw it. Dagon was also known in the upper regions of the Euphrates---a FISH god---- so here is Jonah, dead for sure, brought back to life in front of all these watching and first thing Jonah does I am sure is jump back in the water to wash himself! Then Jonah goes and delivers the message God told him to. The story of how Jonah came to the region is probably well known and the people know he came back from the dead----WHO in their right mind would not have believed him after such miracles!
