That's all well and good, but how many generations would it take to mine said resources, while our Legislative Branch continues to spend us into oblivion?
This is on asp CT of modern day "economics" I've never been able to wrap my head around. Valuations are one thing, but realizing "instant" benefits of those valuations is impossible...UNLESS you're able to finance it AND get ALL of that money up front...which NEVER happens.
All this is, is some B.S. "feel good" story meant to HOPEFULLY distract The People away from the fact that they are 800% POORER than they were in 1972.
Having trillions of dollars worth of natural resources in the ground does nothing for The People when the current model of resource management is such that even the Trump Admin would rather buy up foreign resources first, rather than invest in our own domestic resources in order to be fully self reliant. This is one of the areas of global politics WEF has been supremely efficient at implementing. It isn't just about bringing Western Society to heel. It's also about bankrupting the U.S. thru public/private-domestic/foreign partnerships. [they] get all the benefits while We, The People foot the bill in blood, sweat, tears, and financial capital.
In order to drag us out of the mountainous debt we've allowed to be created in our name, we MUST demand not only accountability and justice, but IMMEDIATE investment into utilizing those resources in a way that eliminates the need for debt based spending. We MUST ALSO demand that our govt end the government validation of our own economy by eliminating the foreign/domestic partnerships of resources based contracts like the agreements/treaties we have with OPEC, NAFTA, TPP, etc, as well as all the treaties with individual nations that allow us to capitalize and monetize foreign resources.
If we have the means and capabilities to become fully self sufficient and self reliant in almost every area of resource management, then why haven't we? If we have the means and capabilities to eliminate our national debt and deficit, then why do we keep using the same antiquated economic models that have bankrupted and indebted us in the first fucking place?!
We're NOT using up foreign resources fast enough for us to capitalize on having a future net positive that would benefit us in any real way, now or in the future. All we're doing is ruining our economy while the rest of the world benefits from watching the U.S. circle the drain financially.

It's a financial model of textbook insanity.
