The media loves hyping the annual study, but its methodology doesn’t hold up to scrutiny.

Honestly the Americans seem the happiest people I have ever seen. Nowhere else have I seen people smile so much. Even the customer service people smile at you which is totally unbelievable when compared to Finnish customer service people who are cold and don't smile.

Finns every year criticize this ranking calling it a sham.
