I have a lifelong friend who is conservative, and he was scratching his head why Trump is "Effing with Canada!" he also said he was talking with some other friends and they just don't get it. I explained to him Canada has had punitive tariffs on US goods for decades, that USA has a serious trade deficit with Canada and that Canada would probably fain economically if there was a level playing field.

Is response was: "I had no idea!"

President Trump needs to clearly make his case to millions of uneducated Americans who don't have a clue how many counties are taking advantage of USA
