Don't think I've seen Ice Station Zebra, I'll have to check it out.
When I was a kid, it was the original, The Thing From Another World. No offense to James Arness, but I thought it was kind of hokey.
Loved the 80's one with Kurt Russell, one of my all time favorite movies, scary af!
I didn't remember they made another The Thing in 2011, which was actually a prequel. I think I only saw it once.
The producers convinced Universal Studios to allow them to create a prequel to John Carpenter's The Thing (1982) instead of a remake, as they felt Carpenter's film was already perfect, so making a remake would be like "painting a mustache on the Mona Lisa". However, the prequel still has the title of the original film, because they couldn't think of a subtitle (for example, "The Thing: Begins") that sounded good.
The US already had an under ice nuclear powered army base there. Whats the big deal. Never hunted Nazis before?
How long before someone rewatches some Captain America movies about things buried in the ice…
If we're going to talk about things buried in the ice, I much prefer 'The Thing'!
