It says something like you have to be a "tax netpayer" and "make more than $40,000" a year. A bit disheartening if that's true, there's lots of hardworking Americans who dont make that much, that still need it :(

I pay taxes. And Elon said, "every tax payer." The US debt clock also made me believe that I and the people I care about will finally get a fucking break. Also, this was tied to government waste, fraud and abuse (which we are all victims of) not 'over-taxation.' Frankly, I think I barely cleared $40k last year. Every American deserves money from the crooked fed that over threw our country. Millionaires getting $5k (which is basically nothing for them) and low wage earners getting screwed yet again makes me very unhappy. They should have presented it truthfully from the start, then it wouldn't be such a disappointment.
