Wes is first class, very intelligent and well spoken. He handled the debate with respect. I wouldn't call Billy a retard , nor the moderator. The reason you hear such disparity of the topic of the Bible is one is an expert and the other two are very, VERY early on in their journeys. Wes is very pointed and on this topic for in excess of 25 years, every day for hours, its his total passion, he is dialed in.
Myself for example, I am only ten years in, study three days a week for several hours with a scholar of 60 years. So at my pace it will take me to add in the other four days, so 7 days a week for 25 years to get to the level of Wes.
Billy Carson is not a pointed study, he studying as much variety he can find to just get things broken down further until he can get to my level studying ONE THING.
Its that basic. I use to study all the things Carson did and its a huge body of work in various forms that are barely linked together. He is still trying to make sense of it while immersed in it. So I get it if its not your "jam" .
