You think the fact that witnesses saw him shoot a cop, witnesses saw him run away, witnesses saw him sneak into the movie theater where he was arrested had anything to do with it?

5 minutes before the shooting Ruby was in the Western Union office waiting to send a money order.
If they hadn't had delays you wouldn't even have a chance to get Oswald.
