This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.

People often think that the mere mention of open source means that the software system in question is 100% secure and tamper proof. In reality the litmus test is whether you can stand the entire system built from source and installed yourself. From your answer, Signal is not there yet.
So I would say that until we are able to build and run signal entirely on our own servers, using the official signal app must be considered "insecure"
Not sure what you are trying to say here. What exactly do you think I don't understand? My observation is based purely on what you conceded - that Signal is not a true FOSS.

You underestimate the critical thinking in Trump supporters. Especially Q supporters. We have lived through all the 4D chess games where is comes to leaks and we understand that nothing is leaked unless it was meant to be leaked.
This means we have to assume that the actual mode of communication between Trump officials is not made public. Signal (as it currently stands) being a controlled opposition fits perfectly with this Q worldview.
The amount of shilling for Signal amongst the Paytriot community is quite amazing.
You clearly don't understand code and thats why you keep steering the conversation back to "boomers" and "conservatives". Nice try though. But we are flooded by shills all day and we can sniff one out a mile away.
