The prophets, whether you believe in them or not, have accurately prophesied about what is going on right now, the hand of God is passing across our lands.

The book of Joel was written between 800 and 400 BC.
The outpouring of the Spirit in Joel 2:28–32 is cited by Peter in Acts 2 as fulfilled at Pentecost—demonstrating that Joel’s prophecy finds its ultimate expression in the New Covenant era through Christ.
That happened in 70AD, after Pentecost, when Rome surrounded Jerusalem and destroyed the city and the temple. Secular accounts say there was an eclipse that lasted days as well as a comet hanging over the city like a sword in the sky.
Jesus came on the clouds in judgment upon Jerusalem right when he said he would. If you recall he said this generation shall not pass to all these things take place.
Quit looking into the future for things that have already been fulfilled in the past. Christians didn't do that until the publication of the Schofield reference Bible about 200 years ago, the first Bible to have footnotes, spread this fringe view of end times that was all but unheard of before that.
Unfortunately because this Bible was the first study Bible it was widely adopted by a seminaries and pastors and this unhistoric view of the end times spread like wildfire.
This led Christians to believe that Jerusalem has some sort of future place in the fulfillment of biblical prophecy and we see the fruit of that now with Christians standing with Israel.
You know which people have a large amount of the market for publishing books and media that they used to manipulate groups of people? Oh yeah, the Jews.
Don't be a sucker.
