Before all this began, our tariffs were at 2.5%. Trump raised them to 10% then all the complaining and dooming and threats of retaliation occurred. Trump then put up the reciprocal tariffs based on what each country had on our imports. Trumps pause to allow those who did not retaliate and showed a desire to negotiate only brought the tariffs back to the 10% which is now being collected. Trump raised the tariffs universally 400% and you call that "surrendering". You clearly are not seeing the "Art of the Deal" that is being used.
