Correct me if I am wrong, but it would be 0% tax on the first $150k for everyone. So if you make $150,001 you would only pay tax on the $1. That is how the current bracket system works.
I understand, I just think it's a different set of rules for different people and a violation of the equal protection clause.
Group A: 75% of the population (those making under 150K) do not have to pay a single cent in income tax and Group B: the other 25% does, regardless of how much or how little. That's still a different set of rules and is essentially saying the government can extort under threat of prison, money from group B.

Would you argue that the current tiered tax system is also a violation of the equal protection clause?
