Just ask Grok: Yes, the official portrait of former President Barack Obama was moved from its position in the Grand Foyer of the White House on April 11, 2025, and replaced with a painting of President Donald Trump depicting the moment after an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania in July 2024, where he raised his fist and shouted, “fight, fight, fight.” The Obama portrait was not removed entirely but relocated across the foyer to the spot previously occupied by a portrait of former President George W. Bush, which was moved to a nearby staircase.
