When I was much younger and very naïve I sent them some money. Not very much. Later I woke up to how much crap and corruption there is in outfits like this. I'm not saying this one is good or bad, I don't know but in general there are too many crooked ones for me to trust any of them.
I do know that it's doubtful that there are a ton of Holocaust Survivors™ living in Russia and starving to death in their cold lonely apartments that need my money. I also know that Christians and Jews should not have an "international fellowship" because as the Bible says Christians shouldn't be yoked together with unbelievers.
I saw the ad the other day with Huckabee in it and it took him down a notch in my opinion of him. Maybe it shouldn't have but it did and that's sad because other than this I think he's a great guy.
Sorry OP all these words and no deep dive on my part but I wanted to pitch in my humble opinion.
Just did a surface-level dig into it and here's what I found:
Yael Eckstein is the CEO of the IFCJ. Her father, Yechiel Eckstein, was a rabbi who founded the company in 1983. His father's name was Dr. Simon Eckstein, and it looks like this book on Amazon might be about him.
I grew up in an area with a significant Jewish population. Most of them traveled to Israel for a summer or two. I thought how nice it was for them that their families were rich enough to send them abroad. Later I learned this was all done for free, paid for by the Israeli government, doubtless with the help of USAID and our tax money.
I tried to research on my phone but it kept wanting me to download software to read their business info. I don't have a computer and only have a cheap phone, but I did eat more than one Carrot over the last 2 days.

Thank you for asking, I wondered who else thought about that the same as I .
Twenty years ago a man I knew used to call it donations to send a ( /// ) to camp. He didn’t think the charity was legitimate. I thought he was nuts.
