It looks likie a fig leaf operation to me. The replies to requests are generic and don't give useful information. "Thanks for your request. We'll reply when we get around to it."

I found it by finding one of their replies in a search engine on a topic I was looking into. They responded, at least to that person's inquiry. I'm not in the UK so I'd say just try it out
