How about the vast amount of people who actually do qualify and are dependent on the system. Some families have only one working parent/spouse often due to disabilities, health issues and homeschooled children. Some are working minimum wage jobs and don’t earn enough to pay for healthcare insurance and also not everyone gets health insurance through their jobs. Is there fraud and abuse in the system? Oh absolutely and I’m sure it’s rampant as with any government benefit program. An audit of Medicaid would be very appropriate. But let’s not discrete those American citizens who legit qualify and depend on this system and otherwise is doing everything they can to survive.
Actually, the vast majority of people on Medicaid are fully capable of working a full-time job, but they refuse to do so. I don't know where you live, but there are plenty of good-paying jobs that are begging for employees, but everyone seems to think they are entitled to $50 an hour. They also seem to think that they are entitled to take time off whenever they want and all the time they want. So you're saying I should pay for them?
For the guys that want their wife (actually, she is most likely his baby mama because no one seems to marry anymore) to stay home with their kids, it's now MY responsibility to pay for their health care (medical, dental and vision, you know the stuff I am paying $250 a month for) and their food?!?! Why?
Where the hell is personal responsibility in all this? The friggen Democrats sold the bleeding heart story of all the poor downtrodden people who deserve welfare in this country. They have you believing that it is YOUR responsibility to take care of everyone else. Well, it's not.
