Maybe it's like the "Y2k" scare. Would you chance people getting hurt or killed to save your reputation, as opposed to saying something and doing work to avert that, and if it works then nothing bad happens and people can mock you but nobody get's hurt or dies?
Something to think about. I don't see JT mentioning it if it wasn't important, and there is that pesky "Mandela Effect" list that seems to grow over time.
BTW, anyone catch that Star Trek Enterprise episode where they were battling the reptilians in Detroit? They went back in time prevent the bad aliens from releasing a bioweapon to kill off enough humans and prevent them from developing space travel years later. Crazy stuff. Just wondering.
