Or does it just confirm that the "Somehow, by some miracle, patriots" coordinated the international effort to save mankind from the psychopaths that were controlling it all ?

The finale is not yet here , but this sort of Ah Ha moment is what makes a great thinker/thriller. Together we can avoid a great tragedy.
