My apologies, i misspoke. The 10th day is the start of the process of selecting the new Pope, not the actual selection.
In saying this, what if they do select a new Pope the very next day? Has this ever happened before? I'm just spitballing with the thought.
The conclave doesn't begin on the 10th day.
It's usually the 15th day, but can be as long as 20 days
I think the last two only lasted 2 days.
