I think China was maybe the first nation that took to killing their own protestors and dissidents for their organs, so they could traffic these for easy and quick cash. Once that road and point of no return is embarked on, and the state apparatus gets comfortable with the idea of grabbing and butchering for parts all undesirables, what will put a stop to escalation of this strategy other than a massive and armed citizen revolt?

Maybe they are not merely missing but dissected into little bags on freezer shelving and auctioned off to the highest bidders.
