We have both, had a GSD we got from a friend of mine she died two years ago, was fun, smart and sweet, she used to herd my cats but never hurt them. I didn't think anything could heal my heart after losing her, it aged me.
My daughter found a rescue online nobody was adopting her she was at a no kill rescue we took a chance, can't figure out why nobody wanted her she's sweet and funny, as hell and a great snuggler, and amazing with my granddaughter. My heart hurts less now. My cats are ok with her too. We have no idea what breed she is, it doesn't matter, she's ours.
Omg my eyes literally brimmed reading your comments. Not sure if you know this , but you have a gift ( seriously) for writing. Aged you and didn’t think anything could heal your heart… I’m there and have been there a few times . Thank you for loving your new baby , I just rescued a big guy out of a dumpster , he was pretty beat up p ,, by the hands of someone , not a car . He’s been with me for 2 months physically / emotionally healing , all is good now and he is and ready for a forever home ,
Thank you, your kind words are much appreciated. I've heard that from people who know me but it's so nice to hear from someone that has never met me. I was an English minor in college, and always enjoyed writing whether it be creative, or doing term papers.
I've always been a nerd with my head buried in books, especially sci fi lol.
We think our dog was abused some she was really shy when we brought her home and if you lifted your hand up to pet her head she winced, but she's really come into her own in our house, within a short time so I don't think it was extensive. Now she's a silly goofball that barks when all the other dogs on our block start barking, letting us know when the mailman is around lol.
I hope your rescue finds a great forever home that with people that will love and appreciate him the way he deserves.
Oh always. When we got our GSD from my friend I didn't even want a dog, well you know how that goes. She went everywhere with me, and was absolutely the apple of my eye. I was the one that needed rescuing lol, now we have a beautiful I have no idea what breed she is and it doesn't matter, she's family.
