I am 36, I was raised by Boomers and as a kid whenever you fucked up they would tell you to be responsible
But personal responsibility is a conservative value today. They generally want to be responsible for themselves and have the government do less for them and get it of the way.
So how did we get raised by people who seemed conservative but were actually leftists in the end?
They were never Patriotic Boomers from the Get-Go! A majority of the Boomers were into make love and not war. They just never graduated from that attitude, and the Democratic Party is full of them. What about Bernie Sanders, he's a straight-up communist and had his honeymoon in Moscow! Then they get into public office and things really go to hell in a hand basket.
You really missed the mark with that generalized comment. Think a little bit. Mynpatriotism gave me a nice 8 inch scar across my chest.
I'm 76 and I'm a Boomer! My Patriotism got me 20 years in the Military and nice Retirement for the last 31 years! It also added to my feeling of giving something to my Country and not complaining constantly like the left. A lot of the Boomers on the left are the same ones that skipped town when they should have aided their country!
I'm not a "boomer" and I think it's hilarious that the majority gets lumped into a ridiculous category. By a generation with so many that "identify" as something they're not. It's no different than everything being "racist." Accept that there is going to be a mix of ideas and opinions no matter where you look. You don't have to like it but you have to accept it and stop promoting division.
