Honestly, I think Russia is the winner, here. Getting non-combatants out of prison and into safety, in exchange for some guys you’ll either be capturing again or killing within the week sounds like a good deal to me.
One worrying aspect is the lack of combat POW’s Ukraine has. Given their despicable behaviour during this whole sorry affair, that can only lead to one conclusion.
The sooner their degenerate leaders and military are crushed the better.

Plus, Ukraine will be returning most of their prisoners while Russia only has to return 1/10th of theirs.
