Be quiet and listen. God knows you and He knows how to speak to you but it’s not going to be like someone else. For me I might hear another person talking to me while I go to sleep but that’s shocking and hard to comprehend in the moment. Therefore God speaks to me in dreams, unexplainable intuition, and in my mind’s eye.
I had a dream in the fall of 2019 about a huge crowd descending on a church as some storms came through. As I was watching there was an evangelist standing next to me and asking me a question. “Do you know the hardest thing about preaching on the streets? It’s that everyone comes to Jesus and I don’t have anywhere to send them.” The rest of the dream was about getting myself to that church and all the obstacles or distractions that tried to block me. Near the end there were little fragments flying that seemed like needles to me.
