Dallas PD vividly remembers the guy that shot up the parade there some time back, and I'd bet they're more willing than most police departments to go full kinetic if somebody starts messing with cops.

Unless the goal is bodies in the streets and breathless news anchors reporting on police brutality, nobody is starting anything serious in Dallas.
