Imagine China now as Germany in 1939. If it were known there were German exchange students voting in our elections to keep USA neutral it would have triggered massive reaction. Germany did actually try to do just that with German Americans. A surprisingly large population segment btw.
In La Crescenta (Glendale) California there’s a park with a plaque commemorating the massive American Nazi Bund rallies held there in the late 1930s. They also, as China does now, influenced Hollywood to exclude anti German sentiment in films. Yes, the movie studios eagerly complied, especially after the Germans allied themselves to USSR. After that alliance was ended by Germany invading USSR, not so much. See “Watch on the Rhine” with Bette Davis for example. Yes, Hollywood was and still is communist at heart. Still waiting for the last straw from CCP that will make it dangerous to even look Chinese in our country. It’s coming.
