Forgive my ignorance, if the father is a US citizen and the baby’s mother is not and is born somewhere else, is it still a US citizen? Edit: they are unmarried
As long as one parent is a US citizen, their child is a US citizen, at least born in USA. That has always been my understanding of citizenship laws.
