So many internal contradictions in the Bible, it is clearly not βthe word of Godβ in the sense Biblical fundamentalists believe. It is however the history of the Hebrews in their view over centuries that leads to the greatest story ever told in the Gospels - which is about Jesus Christ - and his ultimate injunction: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul. And love your neighbour as yourself.β Just do that.
Sadly many have used 'This is the word of God' as a way to control and/or crush anyone taking a different view.
The way to take the Bible is from the 40,000 ft view and see God's plan of redemption and salvation working out without getting tied up in minutia - but this is what happens when people claim the Bible is the inerrant word of God, it cannot be due to both transmission and translational errors.
