Matthew 5:18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.
Has heaven and earth passed away? Not the last time I looked - Jesus' own words are clear it has not yet passed away so the Old - better former - covenant is still in place.
Indeed as Jeremiah 31:31ff is clear the New Covenant is the same as he Old! The difference is at Sinai it was conditional, The New will be unconditional.
The Church keeps saying it has gone, and this was the continual thrust of Paul's 'gospel' and his letters.
Paul writes contrary to Jesus teaching in many many places.
