It could be caused by the overlay during the playback of the recording. The odd thing about that though is the overlay pops up before the transition AND after suggesting this wasn't a direct extraction from the device, they were screen recording it's video output.
It appears someone causes the overlay to pop up likely to stop/pause the source video while the video recording continues slightly, they then resume the source video and resume recording on the video recording. Very odd if you are trying to hide the fact you're cutting out a section of the video.
The angle wasn't readjusted, the aspect ratio was. For whatever reason it was stretched either before or after.
Not sure the cause, but it wasn't because the angle changed.
