Yeah, I know about trusts. I think SpouseAnon's inheritance was set up that way. It's now a regular account, but we've already signed papers that if something happens, although it may be frozen for a bit, it will go directly to SonAnon and not have to go through probate.
It might be too late to do a trust as I believe Medicaid looks back 5-7 years to see if you're trying to 'hide' anything from them.
We were dumb in our youth and have no wills, living or otherwise, no powers of attorney, nothing. Have to find out what I can do since I'm not sure if SpouseAnon can legally sign anything with the dementia.
Although I haven't had to fight insurance yet, I would welcome any info you can impart.
Anyways, a fellow Gene Wilder fan here. He and Richard were great together, especially liked Silver Streak. Was surprised to find they weren't really friends, I've read a lot of it was due to Pryor's drug use.
