Well, you know, the word "Stein" is German for "stone" and maybe "Ep" means "key" in some language. Just a thought.

I've done my best to find a language where "ep" means "key." Such a word does not exist as far as I can tell. I would say this hypothesis is demonstratively false, as fun of a thought as it is.
