I mean think about it logically. You can't really be prosecuted for a crime you committed while president.
But if you're part of a conspiracy that was active before you became president, was active during your term as president, and continued to be active after you were president, what does that get you?
In my view, nothing. Especially not if you're actively involved in the criminal conspiracy after leaving office.
