Ah, yes. The old "preterists don't read Revelation" jab — like accusing a cardiologist of ignoring the heart because he doesn't believe every heartbeat is a drum solo.
No, we don’t tear Revelation out of our Bibles. We just refuse to read it like a rejected script from Left Behind: The Apocalypse Musical. The postmillennial (and preterist) approach actually takes Revelation seriously — so seriously, in fact, that we bother to understand the time stamps God put on it. Like “these things must shortly come to pass” (Rev. 1:1) and “the time is near” (Rev. 1:3), which, oddly enough, weren’t coded phrases for “hang tight for 2,000 years, boys.”
Instead of treating Revelation like a crystal ball for every disappointing election and bad weather report, we recognize it as apocalyptic war literature about the covenantal divorce of apostate Israel and the enthronement of King Jesus. It’s not a riddle book for paranoid boomers, it’s a throne room scroll declaring the victory of Christ over all enemies — including Jerusalem’s corrupt priesthood and Rome’s bloated empire.
So no, we haven’t torn it out. We just refuse to make it a Mad Libs game for dispensational day traders. And if you think Revelation only makes sense if you're a futurist, that’s a bit like saying the Constitution is meaningless unless we assume King George is still a threat.
Careful now. The Bible warns about adding to the scroll, not rightly understanding it.
Your pre-millennial dispensationalism only gained popularity with the publication of the Schofield reference Bible about 200 years ago. A Bible-funded by the rothschilds and published by their publishing company. Your position is a lie from the Jews to put Israel Central in future fulfillment of prophecy while telling Christians that they have to lose in order for God to win. It's a lie that none of our founding fathers subscribed to and a virtually unheard of Fringe position view of the end times until recently in history.
