So lawfags, what can we expect if someone is convicted of federal crimes and is also diagnosed with dementia? Do the consequences of their crimes just go away? Do they do their time in a specially equipped prison? Can they be subjected to the death penalty?

My dad died of vascular dementia. Once you've lived with it, it's hard to miss the symptoms.
