I swear allegiance to the Lord our God, If I were to ever hold a public office, I would swear to uphold the constitution and the rights it is intended to prevent the Government from messing with, not swear allegiance to it. I would never swear allegiance to man's law.

This is the way it should be worded, uphold it, not swear allegiance, Don't like it... Don't care.
