I'm not confident that money back will fix the value of the lost time without the money. The morality of people has to change IMO because those in control of goods/services will simply scale pricing when they know that society has more to spend. This, unfortunately, is one of the downsides of capitalism for consumers. Many producers get into the mindset of cutting as many corners as possible to maximize profit.
It's why we see people consuming chinese products at an alarming rate via amazon deliveries. I've gotten to where I despise seeing the amazon truck in my neighborhood now. Everyone of your neighbors are on that christmas day dopamine hit from constantly getting items put on their door step. Might as well leave a tree up in the living room and give the amazon worker a ladder outside to come down the chimney.
Remember if you're buying chinese products you're ascribing to the "do it twice" mindset vs. the "do it right" mindset. China does not care about QA/QC at all. They do the bare minimum to make a product passable.
Real American society demands durability and repairability. China does not offer either as a general rule. They want your thing to wear out and for you to buy another one at a high markup.... while throwing your unrepairable chinese garbage product into your landfill.
They don't have to use swords or guns to defeat society, they just get them sucking on the chinese market..... which, if you're paying attention, nearly everyone you know does.
I'm literally the only person I know that doesn't use Amazon. It's been over 10 years now. I strive to buy only American made products.... or Japanese.... or European in some cases. I don't buy from africa, middle east, china, etc if I am able to avoid it. People have also been convinced that this sense of nationalism that I have is somehow "racist". No, I just don't like low quality that has zero pride put in as one of the components of manufacture.
Bwhahahahahahahahahahahaha! You global leeches have bled us of our wealth and our blood! Time for you all to stand on your own!
I want my money back, actually, with interest please in gold.
Me too can’t wait for that day, Nesara Gesara
Amen.
