I went to a minor emergency room clinic thinking i only needed stitches after i sliced open my hand. I was informed it was down to the tenden and would require a hand specialist(thumb does not want to move upward) and possibly a tetanus vaccine. I do not want to take the tetanus vaccine Do any of you all have experience or knowledge you could share? I was thinking ivermectin and high dose vitamin c.
Thank you
God bless you
God bless your family
and God bless America
Tetanus shot today wouldn't do anything for the recent injury anyway. If you were exposed to tetanus from this injury and it did turn into lockjaw, you would need the antidote. But like Smeg says, the chance of getting lockjaw are extremely low. And there is an antidote if you somehow did contact the bacteria.
Tetanus is rarely given alone, but often in a 3-in one shot (DPT and I think there's another 3 shot version). So you will be getting 3, not one. I got sick from a tetanus shot in my 20's that it caused me to look into vaccines. Never again and not any of my children have received them after that research.
