I got a job with the post office back in 1989. Went through all the testing which was basically a memorization game of streets and numbers. I was so shocked to see all the people that got the same job as me and could barely speak english. Many asian and indian people.

One of the temp workers had a green card and was hoping for citizenship. Even back then I wondered why did these people get these jobs over Americans.
