WOW! Two service members arrested for promoting Palestine while in uniform.
You can have an opinion, but in uniform you represent the United States, not yourself.

Concur with your assessment, however these two chose to protest in uniform. Their very actions subjected them to the UCMJ and now they must answer for their βchoicesβ. Had they made their actions in civilian attire they may have gotten away with it. Their ideas or position is theirs and does not reflect that of the DEPARTMENT of WAR. Their greatest error is to protest while in uniform and it will cost them dearly for it. Stupidity shall be painful.
Their Loyalty is to the People of their Nation. Not to a potentially occupied Department of War, Fren. If they are risking career to get the Word out, take notice. Writing out an opposing opinion could be the most disloyal thing you've ever done to your Nation..
Their message/political stance is that of theirs, to which they are entitled as afforded by the 1st Amendment. Unfortunately they are about to learn a life lesson thinking they can use the uniform as a political platform. Their ONLY mistake was not their protest message but by protesting in uniform which subjects them to legal disciplinary actions as directed by the UCMJ.
Giving away our secrets isnt a first amendment right.
