This is 5g warfare and BOTH side are using it to achieve desired goals.
Perhaps this video might help you understand some of the whys, it is long so suggest starting at around 1hr 12 min in and watch at 1.5 speed....

The guys in the video at the time stamp you gave are just reading AI generated fictional plots and acting as if it's true. And I've seen most of those guys around before and appreciated their work. Shame they seem to have offloaded their thinking to AI now.

Stuff LIKE THIS happens all through history...characters are created to serve purposes and they are also killed off, either real or staged at some time in the future.....
If you have appreciated their work in the past then perhaps open your mind to what they are trying to explain regarding Kirk from a 40k ft view.....but at least your clicked so that is a start....GL
