As some of you know, a final vote is being held today about a 2 state solution for Israel and Palestine. They are saying it is for Peace and Security.
1 Thessalonians 5:3 King James Version 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
We are seeing Biblical prophecy fulfilled right in front of our eyes. Another step closer to the end. Some of you are more worried about conspiracy and late night show hosts instead of having your eyes on the prize. Our Savior is returning soon. SOON as in our soon. We have a few years left. Get right with the Lord as tomorrow is not promised.
The Bible only talks about the end of an age, not the end of the world.
The end of the age was the upcoming destruction of Jerusalem and the temple that happened in 70 AD by rRomes armies which ended the sacrificial system.
It all so happens exactly what Jesus said it would. "This generation shall not pass to all these things take place β
Jesus came on the clouds in judgment on Jerusalem. Only the Christians escaped because when they saw the abomination of desolation surrounding the holiest of holies they fled to the mountains, just a scripture instructed.
All we have left is final judgment when the wicked will be swept off the Earth just as in the days of Noah, this time with a fiery judgment like the parable of the wheat and the tares that Jesus gave us.
"As to the expansion of my kingdom, there shall be no end" - Jesus
God wins.
Respectfully disagree Edit. I have heard the argument for what you have said before and i just find no evidence to back it up. This is why i disagree.
And that's fine. It's not a salvific issue.
But just so you know the belief that Christians essentially lose down here and belief in the rapture isn't a historical Christian position and only became popular about 200 years ago with the publication of the Rothschild funded Schofield reference Bible, which was the first Bible with footnotes in it explaining passages.
This Bible introduced what's known as premillennial dispensationalism or darbyism. A virtually unheard of position on the end times. Unfortunately this Bible was widely adopted by pastors and seminaries and this view of the end times became the prevalent view very quickly.
I would encourage you and anyone to align yourselves with what Christian's traditionally believed for 1800 years.
The book of revelation, which is over 40% references to Old testament passages, was talking about the upcoming destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. A localized destruction.
This traditional view of eschatology doesn't require the mental gymnastics and complicated timelines that premillennial dispensationalism requires.
God for his wrath out on Jerusalem exactly when he said he would and it exactly the way he said he would. Do you read the secular accounts destruction of Jerusalem, like the history of Josephus and other historical documents and accounts, everything really starts to make more sense.
For example your seven-headed, 10 horned beast is wrong which had seven hills with 10 governors.
At the beginning of The siege of Jerusalem Rome surrounded the city ( the abomination of desolation surrounding the holiest of holies) then something happened after several days and the army had to leave.
Most of the city celebrated, the Christians fled to the mountains just to scripture instructed them to. Probes armies returned several days later and continued their siege, ultimately destroying Temple and killing everyone that remain in the city. The streets were running with blood. People eating each other out of starvation. There was an eclipse so the sun was blotted out of the sky. Those also a comment hanging in the air above the city like a sword in the sky. Crazy stuff.
In my opinion the belief that Christians lose down here is the greatest lie that the devil ever interjected into the church. Christians don't fight and take Dominion like they should. Modern Christians aren't starting projects that they're great grandchildren will have to finish.
Basically no one polishes brass on a sinking ship.
God wins. He doesn't hit a pause button. The gospel goes out and like the mustard seed and continues to grow and grow until it's massive.
God's favorite Bible verse that appears more times in scripture than any other is: sit at my right hand while I make all of your enemies your footstool.
