My cholesterol has always been high. 70 years old. My internist, who is more into functional medicine, recommended I fast 24 hours prior to blood work rather than 'nothing after dinner the night before', and "you might be pleasantly surprised with your values". TPTB don't want your baseline #'s (24 hour fast) so they can justify medicating you.
I began the lysine/ Vit C protocol about February-March. I also followed my son's advice of 20 mins / day in the dry sauna (studies are conclusive this helps). Taking fish oil, multi-vitamin also. No aerobic exercise to speak of. January (24 hour fast) triglycerides = 356. Sept. (24 hour fast) triglycerides = 115.
