what's frustrating and challenging is that sometimes these things are being hidden for good reason, not for something bad and nefarious, like that one DM message that suggested that they are being hidden to protect themselves from harassment
On the other hand this can be indistinguishable from them hiding bad things so they're not uncovered
it's kind of like when people are being protected in a safe somewhat unknown location against domestic abuse or stalkers, and people from the outside stumble upon such a facility and wonder if it is being used for something bad like for trafficking... by being secretive it can look like either thing from the outside.
So... I don't really know what's up with the professors "going ghost". I guess you could investigate and maybe find some connection though that would indicate whether what is being done is good or bad
