are you an adult? :) or a new adult? lol. Honestly, ages 21/22 spent Halloween out at the pub dressed up and partying.. yes.. Adults do dress up for Halloween and do various activities, mostly young adults. Again, dress up every year to hand out candy, enjoy doing so, children seem to always love it when greeted by something other than a boring adult.
Just say what you are meaning to say instead of auto downplaying others comments? Of course you don't have to dress up to "give things to people" nor do I dress up on an average day? I understand that religiously speaking, Halloween isnt exact a "good thing" in general with all the spooky bits going on. Is that your angle and you are afraid to actually say what ya want?
