It's been going on for about 5 days now and I am wondering if it is site configuration or something on my end?

I was having this issue too, but seem to have fixed it.
Do you have Youtube open in another tab? If you are logged in, I think it's interfering with the embedded videos.
Try re-opening the Youtube tab in a container to isolate it. In Firefox, you can right-click on the Youtube tab and select 'Open in New Container Tab' and pick any of the containers. This will allow you to be logged into Youtube without it interfering with embedded videos on GAW.
